The
wildlife roams in profusion and diversity. The elephant
population, estimated to number in excess of 35
000, is the largest single concentration in Africa
surviving within the confines of a proclaimed National
Park. During the harsh dry season, the herds migrate
south to north and congregate along the perennial
Chobe River and fertile floodplains. The sight is
spectacular and unforgettable - red winter sunsets,
elephant, buffalo in their thousands. |
